Scan&Solve™ Pro

Scan&Solve Pro

This Scan&Solve™ Webinar Series is brought to you by Intact Solutions, the developers of Scan&Solve, and Simply Rhino.

Scan&Solve™ Pro allows the structural performance of shapes to be predicted without building physical prototypes. Strengths and weaknesses of designs are easily determined using different materials and loading conditions.  Scan&Solve Pro is a plug-in that integrates with Rhino so simulation is easy at any stage of the design process.

A tremendous leap beyond Scan&Solve 2014, Scan&Solve Pro has the ability to simulate with multiple components in bonded contact, where each can be comprised of a different material. In addition more advanced materials are supported including wood and bonded composites.

Who should attend these webinars?

Scan&Solve Pro has the ability to perform simulations on collections of solids that would be glued together in the real world. It also supports simulation with more complex material models including wood and bonded composites.

There are obvious applications for Marine Designers with hull simulation and other structures, also design and fabrication studios who wish to avoid the great expense of solutions built around highly priced Solid Modelling CAD solutions. Scan&Solve is also popular with Architects & furniture designers.

Rhino for Mac

Rhino for Mac - Product Design Webinars

In this series, Phil Cook of Simply Rhino demonstrates how initial 2D sketch designs can be taken into Rhino and developed into 3D surface and solid models for further design development.

Using the example of a telephone handset, Phil looks at quick and efficient ways of creating 2D and 3D curves from which the surfaces can be generated, before moving on to adjusting the proportions of the design.

A number of different surface creation toolsare examined along with filleting and blending tools. Finally, Phil shows how to create and verify an STL file for output to 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
